EL PASO, Texas —

An 18-year-old man is facing charges after fire officials said he set a pickup truck on fire in the Lower Valley.

A vehicle fire was called in by a neighbor on the 400 block of Link Drive around 6:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire officials said the vehicle fire was put out by the neighbor before crews arrived on the scene.

The neighbor told the owner the flames were coming from the gas tank filler cap area, officials said.

Arson investigators were called to the scene, and Vidal Garcia was later arrested.

No injuries were reported.
