EL PASO, Texas —

Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, for many, was a lucky day. Some chose to make 12-12-12 the day they started their life together and for others it was the day they started their life.

Mr. and Mrs. Vasquez married at noon at the This Moment Wedding Chapel.

Ruben Escandon, owner of the chapel, said it was a busy day. He had seven wedding ceremonies booked.

But El Paso couples weren't the only ones with the idea. A study conducted by David's Bridal showed that more than 7,500 other couples in the U.S. tied the knot Wednesday.

Vasquez said he knew he and his wife weren't the only couple with this idea, but it still meant something special to him.

"Well, to me of course, this is something special. Whatever is happening everywhere else, that's their thing. To me, it's always going to be something special because it's our day," he said.

From chapel to hospital, baby Alondra Guadulupe Alcantar was born at Sierra Medical Hospital.

Her mommy,  Maribel Sustaita delivered her at 11:31 a.m.

Sustaita said her daughter's birth was a special one. "Today is Virgin of Guadalupe's birthday."

Our Lady of Guadalupe also known as the Virgin of Guadalupe is a celebrated Roman Catholic icon of the Virgin Mary.

Another triple-date won't come around for nearly a century -- on Jan. 1, 2101.
