LAS CRUCES, N.M. —

U.S. Border Patrol agents seized 110 pounds of marijuana and stopped two Honduran nationals from entering the country illegally, officials said.

On Sunday at the Interstate 25 checkpoint, agents seized $88,000 worth of marijuana from a U.S. citizen in a 1999 Ford Explorer. A drug-sniffing dog alerted agents to the vehicle, and they found four fabricated metal containers inside the gas tank. Agents seized 110 pounds from the vehicle of Ivon Ramos, 22.

That same day, a commercial bus line was carrying two people without immigration documents. They were identified as Honduran nationals, and they were held pending a determination from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
