Soldier in Anthony Gap deadly car crash from Fort Bliss

ANTHONY, N.M. —

A soldier who was killed in a horrific car crash on Friday was identified as a Fort Bliss serviceman.

New Mexico State police told KFOX14 that the man who died in a two-vehicle crash on White Sands Hwy. was Guillermo Morales

Morales is a soldier at Fort Bliss who was from Atlanta, GA.

Around 7:15  a.m., New Mexico State police said a car was swerving in and out of traffic when it clipped a semi-truck, splitting the car in half.

Morales was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The semi-truck driver was expected to be OK.
