EL PASO, Texas - A Socorro High School graduate who played baseball for El Paso Community College was drafted to the New York Mets, according to MLB.com.

According to MLB.com, Eudor Garcia was picked up by the Mets in the fourth round and was the 115th overall pick.

Garcia is a sophomore third baseman for the EPCC Tejanos, and he was the first player in the team's history to be named All-American. He was named a Division 1, First Team All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Garcia has 14 home runs and a batting average of .460.
