3 Holloman Air Force airmen killed in car accident

ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (AP) — Authorities say three airmen assigned to Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico have been killed in a car accident in Alamogordo.
Base officials say they were notified of the incident Tuesday morning.
They didn't immediately release any details about the accident, which remains under investigation by Alamogordo police.
Base officials say the names of the three people killed will be released 24 hours after the victims' relatives have been notified.
Three personnel assigned to Holloman AFB, were killed in an auto accident on Airport Road in Alamogordo. The base was notified of the incident at approximately 9:45 a.m. today.
The accident is under investigation by the Alamogordo Police Department, and the names of the deceased will be released 24 hours after next of kin have been notified.
"It is with deep sadness that we must announce the death of three Team Holloman members," said Col. James Thompson, 49th Wing vice commander. "Please keep their families and all Holloman personnel in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn their tragic deaths."
