EL PASO, Texas - Law enforcement officers in the Borderland are asking for help in tracking down a murder suspect.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, Joel Ponce was last seen at an east El Paso sports bar on Friday.

Dona Ana County sheriff's deputies have been searching for Ponce since May.

Investigators believe he killed Juan Perez during a fight in Berino, N.M.

Ponce has ties to Las Cruces, El Paso and northern Mexico.

Authorities said Ponce shaved his head.
