SAN ELIZARIO, Texas – Flooding in San Elizario has gotten worse with the continuous rainfall hitting the far east El Paso County.

An El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said specialized teams have been called out to help residents in San Elizario. 
SWAT, CNT, Strike Team Squad, San Elizario and Clint fire departments and Search and Rescue teams are part of the specialized teams.

Red Cross crews are on hand to help residents with assistance they may need. 
San Elizario Independent School District has announced that after school activities for Thursday have been canceled.

Classes will remain on schedule, said a district official.
Those seeking shelter for the night are welcomed to go to San Elizario High School where they can stay for the night. The high school is at 13981 Socorro Road.San Elizario cancels after school-activities
