EL PASO, Texas - The Stormwater pond at Gateway West Boulevard and Luna Street overflowed Wednesday morning.

The rain overnight managed to fill the pond. The pond belongs to El Paso Water Utilities and was built to hold water when heavy rains hit El Paso.
The water overflowed onto the roads around that area, causing a traffic mess for commuters in the morning.

The million-dollar pond was paid for by EPWU customers and was completed in the spring.Rain causes overflow of Stormwater Pond in central El Paso
