EL PASO, Texas —
KFOX14 got a behind-the-scenes look of crews bringing in the production of "Wicked."
Production crews were busy setting up the stage for the Broadway musical at the Plaza Theatre in downtown El Paso.
A total of 14 semi-trucks estimated to be carrying $14 million worth of production equipment drove into the Sun City, said production manager Steve Quinn.
El Pasoans have the chance to catch the show without having to travel to New York for the experience during a two-week run starting Feb. 1.
"Wicked" tells the story of what happened before Dorothy arrived in Oz.
Quinn said folks can expect a comedic, fun experience and learn how Glenda became a good witch and how the Wicked Witch became evil.
Performers will run through a one-hour rehearsal Wednesday before opening night.
