Overnight Videographer

KFOX14 is looking for a full-time Overnight News Photographer to join our award-winning team. This is an opportunity to work in a news environment where skill and creativity are encouraged, not stifled. We are looking for candidates that preferably have at least 2 years of Television News videography/editing experience.

We`ve received multiple National and Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, numerous Emmy Awards and nominations, and have been recognized many times over by the Texas AP and New Mexico AP in various news and breaking news categories.  Oh yeh, did we mention we've been 1st or 2nd place in the Texas AP "Photog Station of the Year" contest the last 3 years running? This is the station you want on your resume!

The position requires technical knowledge of ENG cameras and equipment, and an understanding of how to capture the visual/audible elements that are stylistic of news production. In addition, the position requires editing experience, with  Avid or comparable (e.g., Media 100) non-linear systems. The candidate must also have general computer skills. The candidate must have knowledge and 1-2 years experience operating and maintaining an ENG Microwave truck and/or vehicle.

The position also requires the individual to possess strong interpersonal skills. Hours are 11pm to 8am. The individual is responsible for gathering material for our daily newscasts and then assembling the material into an edited product that`s fed back to the main office. Professional experience may be substituted for certain educational requirements.

Candidates that have been identified as a potential hire are subject to a background check before employment can be offered. KFOX14 hopes to begin employment of the News Photographer/Editor immediately.
