LC Mail Complaints Reach Senator

The Las Cruces mail delivery problem KFOX was first to tell you about is getting the attention of a U.S. senator.

Jeff Bingaman requested to meet with the postmaster general to talk about the mail delays.

Bingaman's office has received numerous complaints from Las Cruces residents.

As KFOX reported, some residents have complained payments are taking up to three weeks to get to businesses -- resulting in late charges for the customers.

Bingaman says the delays may be a result of a reorganization the postal region underwent in June.

Mail is now being processed in El Paso instead of Albuquerque.
