Area Allergy Sufferers To Continue Suffering

An estimated 1/3 of people in our area suffer from allergies, for many it was a miserable summer and could be a miserable fall.

"The symptoms they (allergy sufferers) are complaining of seem to be more intense," said allergist Lyndon Mansfield.

Dr. Mansfield monitors the pollen count for the city of El Paso which he says remains "very high" thanks to a wet summer and continued high-temperatures.

He says relief should come with the area's first freeze that is expected to kill most weeds.
