Local ICE Officers Aid Louisiana

There are 14 specially trained Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers from El Paso, are on their way to help restore order in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

These agents are nationally certified law enforcement officers who are trained in skills ranging from riot control to emergency medical services.

This morning their orders came in to head to the disaster zone.

They then loaded up specially equipped vans that will be their homes, for a while.

The 14 ICE detention officers should arrive in Louisiana Friday night.
