Police Office Involved In Collsion

An El Paso Police officer recovers from a traffic accident, after authorities say another driver doesn't yield the right of way.

It happened early Saturday morning near Joe Battle and Montwood in East El Paso.

Police say the 11 year veteran, who was on a motorcycle, was driving down Montwood when 26 year old David Marin made a left hand turn without yielding.

The officer was taken to Thomason Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Marin was cited for failing to yield the right of way causing a collision, and for not wearing prescription glasses.
