You may not have to take off your shoes anymore the next time you're at the airport security screening station.

The Transportation Security Administration is considering lifting bans on razor blades, scissors and even small knives.

Proposals are also in the work to stop pat downs and the removal of shoes and it's all to help ease the hassle for flyers.

Travelers we spoke with at El Paso International Airport have mixed views on the possible changes.

"Honestly I think they are doing a wonderful job and what they are doing is perfect for the safety of all of I think they should just leave it the way it is," said Juan Ibinez, California.

"I think definitely that we're still in a state where we need high security in our airports so we might as well keep having the restrictions with us, it keeps us safer," said Sara Rosemeier, Minnesota.

"I think its good considering its for security reasons but I guess its okay that you should be allowed to take little things in the plane so it wont be an inconvenience for you," said Virdiana Hernandez, East El Paso.

One of the more liberal proposals would allow government employees and even politicians to bypass security completely.
