Job Opening After Judge Galvan Resignation
Now that Las Cruces Magistrate Reuben Galvan has resigned the New Mexico Governor's Office says it'll soon put out a formal request for resumes to fill the position.
Governor Bill Richardson's office says Galvan resigned late Friday.
He'd been suspended without pay after he was accused of raping and bribing a woman last august.
Galvan contends he had consensual sex with her.
His first trial ended in a hung jury.
He's now going to be re-tried.
