Fire Engulfs Plastics Factory

A plastics factory in Vinton goes up in flames, and is still burning.
Firefighters throughout El Paso, and from as far away as Dona Ana County have been called out to the huge blaze.
KFOX was the first to the scene, shortly after the fire started around 11:30 Thursday night.
It happened at 7751 Kiely Road, at Talco Plastics Inc.
The structure is completely engulfed, and it is a hazardous situation with both cardboard and plastic burning.
That's very close to Bill Childress Elementary School, which is closed Friday due to the smoke and fumes.
Several residents were evacuated from the area on the other side of Kiely.
