Man Charged With DWI, Evading Arrest, Assault On Public Servant

CLINT, Texas -- Vicente Martinez-Rivera, 31, is facing charges of DWI, evading arrest and assault on a public servant.

Investigators said Rivera was found asleep at the wheel of his truck at the intersection of Myrtler and Flamborough in Clint, Texas, late Thursday evening.

Investigators told KFOX that Rivera fled on foot as a El Paso County sheriff's deputy tried to give him a sobriety test.

The said that after a brief chase, the deputy caught up with him. Investigators said that's when Rivera assaulted the deputy.
