EL PASO COUNTY, Texas -- Some Lower Valley colonias will get water for the first time thanks to state funding.The Texas Department of Rural Affairs presented the El Paso County with a check for $350,000 to bring water to 97 homes in between Fabens and Clint.In order to get the funding, residents will have to chip in on their days off to complete the project, including doing such work as laying pipe.The project should be completed in the next two years.
