New Passport Agency Coming Soon To Mills Building

U.S. Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas, announced Thursday El Paso's new Passport Agency will be located in the Downtown Anson Mills Building at 303 N. Oregon.

"This is a great location that will add to revitalization efforts Downtown," Reyes said in a statement. "It is exciting to see this project moving forward after fighting for many years to get our own agency. Once the facility is complete, El Pasoans will no longer have to rely on the Houston office to get their passports processed quickly."

The new Passport Agency will be complete in late fall of 2010.

The El Paso Passport Agency will employ more than 30 people.
