EL PASO, Texas -- A San Elizario family said that their son was staying in a mobile home when it caught on fire on Thursday morning. The 18-year-old man was able to get out safely. Fire fighters said the fire started in a small closet inside the mobile home and was caused by an electrical short.Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the small room so the home is not a total loss. However, it did sustain plenty of smoke and water damage."I don't know how it happened. All I know is I saw a lot of smoke. My son smelled it and was able to get out and call 911," said Alma Tarango the teen's mother.Tarango said that the San Elizario Volunteer Fire Department arrived almost immediately and was able to put out the fire before it could spread to other homes.
