VADO, N.M. -- An attendant at a Vado, N.M., truck stop was arrested after deputies said he followed a girl to the bathroom and tried peeking through the bathroom stall with a mirror.

A mother and daughter stopped at the Vado City Texaco truck Stop on their way to Albuquerque for gas.

Deputies told KFOX the mother had instructed her daughter to go inside and pay the clerk for gas. After paying 49-year-old Arthur R. Martinez, the girl asked the attendant for directions to the bathroom.

While using the bathroom, the girl heard footsteps and saw a hand come from under the stall holding a mirror, pointing directly at her, said deputies

The girl was able to identify Martinez by matching his shoes.

Martinez was arrested and charged with one count of voyeurism prohibited and one count of tampering with evidence.
