Warning Of Arsenic In Anthony, TX, Water

Anthony, Texas, residents worry after they receive a warning about arsenic in their water.

Residents KFOX spoke with said this isn't the first time they've received letters like this one.

One woman said she just wants to know what's being done about it.

Robyn Clark-Chapman, of Anthony, Texas, said, "They're not really explaining. They say that they're working with the TCEQ, which of course we all know, but they're not explaining how they're going to clean the water."

KFOX spoke with the water department in Anthony Monday, where we were told the city is working to remove the contamination completely in about a year.

Officials described it as a very small amount of contaminate and residents should not be concerned because the arsenic levels are not toxic.
