EL PASO, Texas -- An investigation is under way after human bones are found in south-central El Paso.

A water utilities crew was cleaning a canal around 3 p.m.when they found bones with clothes on them near Delta and Cotton.

Police on the scene told KFOX that the bones had been there awhile.

The medical examiner was called to the scene. But a Crimes Against Persons unit was called out because there wasn’t any indication foul play was involved.
