EL PASO, Texas -- The owner of a home on the 5000 block of Ortega Road in Las Cruces found what looked like six bullet holes along the length of the residence.According to Dona Ana County sheriff’s deputies, when officers arrived at the scene, 14 shell casings were found right in front of that home.The owner of the home told sheriff’s investigators that earlier in the morning he heard what sounded like gunfire, but thought nothing of it.Deputies said the owner assumed another home nearby was the target, and proceeded to go back to sleep.No one was injured in the shooting and deputies will continue their investigation.
