LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- While Stanford players practiced, family and friends were enjoying food and shopping Tuesday afternoon.

A tour bus took the Cardinal family and friends to historic Old Mesilla.

Fans KFOX spoke with said they enjoyed the food and hospitality, but it was the colder weather and snow that they didn’t appreciate.

“I'm not prepared at all. I'm freezing. I'm so cold, Sun Bowl? Sun Bowl and snow don't really work together in my opinion,” said one fan.

The tour bus also stopped by Stahmann Farms for some Mesilla Valley pecans and went back to El Paso to visit Fort Bliss.
