Crime Stoppers Seeks Suspects In NMSU Theft

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the couple involved in the theft of a high-definition television from New Mexico State University on Nov. 27.

NMSU police detectives are investigating the theft that happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. from the Thomas and Brown building on campus.

The couple, a man and woman both of whom appear to be in their late teens or early 20s, took the 52-inch Memorex HD TV from room 109 in the Thomas and Brown building, police said . Prior to taking the TV, the pair was captured on a surveillance system entering the building shortly before 5 p.m. The couple then left the building, changed clothing, and re-entered the building at around 6:34 p.m. and proceeded to take the TV, police said .

The woman has long, dark hair and is seen in one surveillance photo wearing an Oakland Raiders hoodie. She has two tattoos, one on her right forearm and one on the right side of her neck. The man has short, dark hair, and a surveillance photo shows him having a pierced right ear.
