EL PASO, Texas -- Nidia Acosta, 33, died after a 2006 Ford Focus driven by Beatric Terrazas, 61, backed over her on Friday evening.El Paso police said Terrazas was backing out of a driveway on the 7700 block of Porche Street, when she collided with Acosta who was walking on the sidewalk.Investigators said Acosta was caught in the front wheel well of the Focus. She was taken to University Medical Center, where she died.Right now investigators do not believe speed or alcohol played a part in the crash.El Paso police said this is the 61st traffic death of 2009 as compared to 54 at this same time in 2008, and the 12th traffic death involving a pedestrian compared to 12 for the same period in 2008.
