SANTA TERESA, New Mexico -- Dona Ana county sheriffs are looking for four individuals who burst into a Santa Teresa home with guns early Monday morning. The four men tied up two adults inside a home on the 320 block of Avenida Mirador inside a gated community. Two children inside the home at the time were not tied up.The men got away with a small amount of cash and took nothing else, sheriff’s deputies said.Initial scanner traffic indicated that the four men were dressed as law enforcement officers, but officials would not confirm that fact.Deputies described the men as wearing jeans and other black clothing. The incident has sparked fear with residents in the area."It's surprising, I had no idea this happened. This has never happened here before in the time that me and my family have lived here. It's just shocking," said Andrea Ruiz, an area resident. If you have any information about this incident call the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office at (575) 525-1911.
