Donations Needed For Mayor's Turkey Dinner

Mayor John Cook holds his annual Thanksgiving dinner for the homeless and needy in El Paso again.

The event has grown every year since it started in 2005.

The tradition now serves more than 6,000 people.

Sun Metro, Rescue Mission, Salvation Army, and Helen of Troy are making 2009’s dinner possible.

You can help by donating food or money.

The dinner is on Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Convention Center.
