EL PASO, Texas -- A Lower Valley couple called KFOX after they discovered their statue of the virgin Mary broken in half and other lawn ornaments missing.Gloria and Ramon Reyes said they think someone tried to take the virgin Mary but it's too heavy. They say they did take two angel statues. The couple said what hurts the most is that their late son bought the statue as a Mother's Day gift eight years ago for Gloria and they've had it in the front yard ever since."It's not really what it cost, you know. It's just a sentimental thing, memories that it brought us now that we see it broken. Just memories of my son. I feel real real bad," said Ramon Reyes holding back tears. The couple filed a police report and they want to warn their neighbors to keep an eye on their Christmas decorations.
