El Paso police officers and an official from the coroner's office were called to a scene where a body was found in the Lower Valley.

Initial reports indicates that a woman horseback riding in the desert area near an arroyo right behind the Walgreens on the corner of Alameda and Americas stumbled upon the gruesome discovery.

Police officials believe it was a body of a man between the ages of 55 and 60.

The El Paso police spokesman said they don't believe fowl play was involved. Investigators are looking into the cause of death.
