Posted: 6:59 pm MST November 17, 2009Updated: 7:18 pm MST November 17, 2009

Employees with the El Paso Independent School District got their swine flu vaccinations Tuesday.

The district teamed up with Pro-Action to hold their H1N1 flu vaccination clinic.

Employees without medical coverage were given the shot for $10.

District officials said it was important to protect their employees to better protect their students.

Berenice Zubia, EPISD, said, "We have also ordered 64,000 doses for all of our students. We are still waiting for all of those vaccines to come in and once they do we're also going be alerting the community so students from EPISD can also get vaccinated."

The 1,000 shots were given until the supply was gone.
