CBP Kicks Off Traveling Campaign

Posted: 6:57 pm MST November 17, 2009Updated: 7:18 pm MST November 17, 2009

Know before you go: that's the message from U.S. Customs and Border Protection leaders.

The campaign is aimed at preparing travelers for the busy weeks ahead in this holiday season.

They ask people crossing borders to know the rules and regulations on food and agricultural items.

Agents remind travelers to have documents for the country they’re visiting but also remember a passport is required for returning to the U.S. when flying internationally.

Remember, it's also required that travelers have a passport, passport card, or enhanced driver's license if crossing land borders.
