EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso Mental Health and Mental Retardation CEO Gary Larcenaire told the court Monday they have about two weeks left of funding, and will run on that while the county auditor continues to look over all of the organization's finances. As KFOX reported, MHMR needed funding from the county in order to keep its patients from going on a waiting list.So far, MHMR leaders said they have submitted thousands of pages of information.Larcenaire said, "We're talking about question after question after question after page after page of people with full-time jobs working in my accounting department, working in my administration that [sic] are not doing their full-time jobs, that [sic] are only responding to these requests."Larcenaire said because the audit is taking such a long time, they may ask for another month of funding from the county, to keep their operation running at full strength.
