Manhunt Monday's Fugitive Turns Himself In

A fugitive featured in Manhunt Monday immediately turned himself in after seeing himself on TV.

The El Paso County Sherriff’s Department had an arrest warrant for Joel Quintana.

Quintana was wanted for deadly conduct. On Aug. 10, 2009, he was connected to a drive-by shooting in Vinton, Texas, said deputies. The 21-year-old was also a person of interest in several drive-by shootings in the upper valley.

At the time of his arrest Quintana told deputies he saw himself on television Monday morning featured as Manhunt Monday’s Most Wanted fugitive and decided to turn himself in. Quintana also said he was trying to enlist in the U.S. Army and wanted to put all this behind him, said deputies.
