The attorney for a Parkland High School coach accused of stealing money from a student told KFOX charges against his client have been dropped.

A student accused Louis James Jr. of taking $20 from him.

Attorney Herb Marsh said the person who filed the complaint didn't show up in court, so the case was dismissed.

Ysleta Independent School District officials placed James on administrative leave.

There's no word on whether he's back at the school.
