The City of El Paso Department of Public Health said Wednesday that it has exhausted its supply of 2009 H1N1 Flu vaccine doses.

Over the past few days, the department administered about 13,000 vaccine doses. The department is awaiting additional shipments of the vaccine. It remains unknown when the additional approximate 14,000 vaccine doses ordered by the department will arrive. When it does arrive, they said they will provide the public with information as to where they can receive it.

Locally, about 600,000 doses of the vaccine have been ordered by healthcare providers. The public is encouraged to contact their primary health care provider and inquire about the availability of the vaccine.

For more information about the 2009 H1N1 Influenza, the public should call 211 or visit the city's website at www.elpasotexas.gov/health/h1n1.asp.
