Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding who is responsible for two robberies that took place in the Mission Valley last month.

Police said the first happened on the 7100 block of Alameda Avenue at the Little Caesar’s Pizza just after 11 p.m. on Oct. 2. When two employees were about to clock out, a man walked in pointing a handgun and demanded money.

When the man cocked the gun, the employees opened the cash register. The mantook a handful of cash and got into the passenger’s side of a four-door Toyota or Nissan. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early twenties about 5 feet 6 inches or 5 feet 7 inches tall.

About half and hour later, another robbery occurred at a 7-Eleven Store on the 1200 block of Zaragoza Road. Police said the suspect walked into the store and waited for a customer to be served and cocked a hand gun and demanded cash. When the employee opened the register, the man grabbed a handful of cash and fled the scene.

The man was wearing a checkered baseball cap with the letters SF on front, a light colored T-shirt and baggy blue jeans.

Police believe both men were working together.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 915-566-8477. You could qualify for a cash reward if your tip leads to an arrest.
