Posted: 7:25 pm MDT October 30, 2009Updated: 7:38 pm MDT October 30, 2009

The only dermatologist serving VA clients in El Paso retired, leaving local veterans, with skin care needs, with the option of having to travel far away to see a doctor, or not get any help at all.

But after our story aired, on KFOX News at Nine, doctors at El Paso Dermatology came forward and said they want to help local veterans.

Dr. Michael Simpson, dermatologist, said, "My staff and I are going to feel honored and privileged to provide the best care we possibly can for some of these veterans in the near future.“

Simpson, a veteran himself, said his office is prepared to help any local veteran who needs to see a dermatologist.
