Gas Prices On The Rise

How much to do you pay for gas? Despite the price, you may need add another dollar or two to fill up the tank. Gas prices are going up, experts said.

"On the weekend I spend about $40. During the week I spend about $25,” said Tim Engelbrecht.

In the last week, gas prices have jumped 40 cents nationwide.

"They have been going up a bit. It costs me more to fill my tank and to deliver pizza now," said Engelbrecht, a pizza delivery driver.

Experts said because the dollar is weak, Americans will pay at the pump. Also, the price of oil surged 25 percent in less than a month.

While prices are on the rise, drivers said they are still not as high as they used to be.

"The summer before last when it was around $4 a gallon, that was rough," Engelbrecht said.

But if they ever get that high again, some said there's always another option.

"Uh, probably just take the bus," said Dina Grier.
