EL PASO, Texas -- The El Paso Sheriff's Office arrested nine people Saturday morning during a "Operation Early Bird."

All nine people have outstanding criminal warrants.

Alexandro Soto, 18, Abelardo Holguin, 55, Ernesto Rendon, 21, and Anthony Provencio, 18 , were all arrested on assault charges, police said.

Deputies arrested Oswaldo Alvarez, 19 , on a charge of burglary of vehicle.

Leroy Anaya, 22, was arrested on suspicion of possessing of marijuana, while Victor Nares, 37 was charged with possession of cocaine.

Jacinto Ontiveros, 42 was arrested on a theft charge and Briza Delgado, 30, was charged with criminal mischief.
