Four Bel Air students face charges after they were accused of assaulting the woman who was making their homecoming mums for the decorations and money. The woman who only wanted to go by Rosemary said the the assault happened inside her home on Friday. She said she knew two of the girls who attacked her because they were her customers."With her two hands pushed me back. I fell in the corner over a crate that was in the corner," said Rosemary.Rosemary said for the last month she was making and selling homecoming mums to raise money for her daughter's trip to California with the Bel Air band. She raised enough money for her daughter and another student to go. But now that money is gone.Rosemary said five Bel Air students took her money, attacked her and a 16-month-old baby she was taking care of."Things happened so fast. The other girl threw the baby down, the baby was screaming. One girl grabbed her mum, the other girl grabbed her mum. The boy that was here grabbed my purse that was on the couch and a digital camera that was on the piano," said Rosemary. This year's band members are planning to go to Bands of America in Valencia, Calif., and that's why they're raising money.Rosemary said when they took her purse, she had cash and about 15 checks from her customers."I don't know how to contact these people. I don't know how to let them know to stop payment on their check or if they can issue another check," said Rosemary.Police said the teens fled, but officers found four of them and arrested them at Bel Air. They were charged with robbery."And we are now out of that money for my daughter's trip," said Rosemary.Currently, Rosemary, her daughter and other students are trying to raise that money again. They're starting from scratch and they only have a week to come up with the money. If you want to help the Bel Air Band go to California, you can contact the band director, Mr. Talamantes, at 915-434-3844.
