LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- For Fran Jones of Mesilla Park, it's been a wild chase lately attempting to find out if her family will be reimbursed for about $500 in gift certificates. Jones says she received her gift certificate to Spatini, a local spa and salon of Mesilla Park, from her son as a Mother's Day gift and it just so happened her son-in-law thought it would also make a great gift for Jones' daughter. Each certificate cost about $250. Jones called Spatini Friday to make an appointment for her daughter and herself she said the line was disconnected. She decided to go down to the business, but found out the building was vacant. Confused and worried about her family losing out on the $500 she said she’s been making call after call trying to get a hold of the business owner, but has not had any luck. Jones said at this point she just wants one thing.“My kids to get their money back and for if there is anyone else that is out there would have maybe the same problem to come forward and maybe you can help them get their money as well,” said Jones.KFOX was able to obtain a number from a former employee of the woman who was the manager and possibly former owner. A couple of messages were left and KFOX is awaiting a call back.
