EL PASO, Texas -- On that list of the four cities vying for the Olympics, you didn't hear the city of El Paso.

KFOX wanted to know what Rep. Silvestre Reyes thinks about our town landing an Olympic bid. "You know, it may not happen in our lifetime, but I think that El Paso is the center of the 2,000 mile border region with Mexico. Why not El Paso?" said Reyes.

Reyes also said there would still be a lot of work to be done before Olympic games could be held in El Paso.

He said mostly its infrastructure improvements to be able to handle an explosion of people.
