EL PASO, Texas -- Firefighters with the West Valley Fire Department responded to an accident where a man drove a car into a home at around 10 a.m. Sunday.

It happened in the 1300 block of Church Street in Anthony, N.M., emergency dispatchers said.

"When I came back from church, I saw the fire station and the police there was a car that ran into a little house over there," said Marta Arrieta, a neighbor in the area.

The driver was taken to University Medical Center via helicopter with serious injuries. The Dona Ana County Sheriff's Office said the man may have become unconscious when he was driving and it is possibly due to a medical condition.
