Spc. James Kiehl's Family Supports The President
With the arrival of a chaplain at their home in Comfort, the parents of Specialist James Kiehl learned that their son was dead.
He was among soldiers from the 507th Maintenance Company found
dead when an American P-O-W was rescued from a hospital in Iraq.
Kiehl's mother, Janie Kiehl, says the family still supports President Bush. "We believe in what James went over there for."
The chaplain arrived about 6 p.m. Friday.
The 22-year-old computer technician was among seven dead
soldiers found during the rescue of Private First Class Jessica
Lynch this week.
Those seven, like Lynch, were in the 507th, based at Fort Bliss.
An eighth body was identified as a member of the Third Division
Support Battalion of Fort Stewart, Geogria -- another Army unit
that was in the same convoy.
A ninth body taken to Dover had not been identified.
Kiehl's wife Jill is due to give birth to their first child on May 4th.
