Sheriff's Identify Man Abducted In Horizon City

El Paso County Sheriff's investigators identified the victim and KFOX also finds out he has a criminal history.

Sheriff's investigators said Sergio Saucedo, 30, was taken from his home on the 14000 block Desert Sunset in broad day light. And unfortunately many neighbors including children were witness to that.

The Sheriff's office released a picture of kidnapping victim. Sheriff's investigators along with FBI agents were at the home again on Friday collecting evidence.

"It's scary. It really is because you don't know if they're just kidnapping people and then asking for ransom. It could be anybody even myself. I'm scared," said Maria Rubio, who lives a few blocks away from where the incident happened.

El Paso Sheriff's investigators said three Hispanic men forced Saucedo out of his home in front of his wife. He was tied up with duct tape and carried through the back door. The incident has neighbors worried.

"It could be a lot of things. Especially with all the problems we're having across the border. It could be a lot of things," said Rubio.

Sheriff's officials said witnesses heard a gunshot and the victim yelling for help. The incident was witnessed by school children being transported on a school bus. Those children were provided counseling at their school.

According to witnesses, the victim was taken in a dark maroon Ford Expedition with dark tinted windows and black fenders.

KFOX learned that Saucedo has a criminal history. Saucedo was arrested in Midland County in February 2003 for driving without a license, but in August of 2007 he was convicted for money laundering in the amount of more than 20,000 but less than 100,000. That was out of Fisher County Texas.
