Teen Charged With Stabbing Victim 3 Times

One teen is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after he allegedly stabbed another person.

On Tuesday, the Dona Ana County Sheriff's Department responded to a stabbing on the 4800 block of Vinton Road in Anthony, N.M.

Deputies said Sammy Solis, 17, had stabbed a person three times in the upper torso after getting in a fight.

Solis fled the scene but deputies were able to find him in Chamberino, N.M.

He was also charged with tampering with evidence after deputies could not find the knife he is accused of using in the stabbing.

The victim remains at a local hospital in critical condition.
